Jammu, Oct 1: Over 1.7 lakh devotees paid obeisance at the holy cave shrine of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi during the auspicious Navratri festival, which concluded on Wednesday, October 1, 2025, registering a record footfall of pilgrims this year.

Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board (SMVDSB), Sachin Kumar Vaishya, informed that the number of pilgrims visiting the shrine was witnessing a steady rise, with this Navratri recording a high turnout.

To facilitate smooth pilgrimage, the Shrine Board had put in place several special arrangements, including a dedicated help desk, deployment of volunteers along the track and unique floral decorations at the shrine and on the route leading to it, he said.

The Chief Executive Officer also expressed gratitude to the devotees for their faith and cooperation and assured that efforts would continue to enhance facilities for pilgrims in the future.
