National Flag unfurled at IUST

Awantipora, Jan 26: Prof Shakil Ahmad Romshoo, Vice Chancellor IUST unfurled the National Flag on the Republic day at IUST campus and took the salute. The ceremony was attended by all the employees of the university.

In his address, the Vice Chancellor congratulated the participants on the 75th Republic Day celebrations and said that it was on this day in 1950 that the constitution became effective.

He said that the nation is rapidly advancing and expressed confidence that the vision of a developed India (Viksit Bharat) will be achieved by 2047. He further said this year’s Republic Day theme of “Viksit Bharat” and “Bharat-Loktantra Ki Matruka” signifies progress, prosperity and commitment to democracy.
