National Conference rejects BJP’s claims regarding J&K govt

Srinagar, Oct 27: National Conference (NC) has strongly rebuffed statement made by BJP senior leader Ram Madhav, wherein he has stated that “the government is not completely representing the entire J&K and that Jammu is missing from it.”

Madhav, as per news report in national newspaper, criticised the ruling National Conference for its Kashmir-centric leadership, claiming that Jammu is “missing” from it.

In a pointed response, National Conference spokesperson Imran Nabi Dar took to social media platform X, denouncing Madhav’s remarks as a “tactic employed by the BJP to create divisions among communities in Jammu and Kashmir”.

“Tried and tested formula of @BJP4India, create divisions by othering people & communities, at play once again. Go and play this polarization card somewhere else,” Dar wrote on X.

Imran emphasized that the National Conference, under the leadership of Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, has demonstrated a commitment to representing all areas and sentiments within Jammu and Kashmir.

As per local media reports, Madhav’s comments came during a recent media interview with National news paper, where he expressed “disappointment over the National Conference’s mandate from Kashmir, suggesting that it relies solely on support from the valley to govern”.

He as per reports asserted that the National Conference led government is not adequately representing the interests of the entire Jammu and Kashmir region.
