Nagar Kirtan organised in Baramulla

Baramulla, June 19: The Gurudwara Prabandak Committee Baramulla organised a grand Nagar Kirtan in the town on Wednesday to celebrate the forthcoming Prakash Purab of Hargobind Singh Ji Maharaj, the sixth Guru of Sikhism.

The Nagar Kirtan commenced from Kanispora Baramulla and proceeded through various localities, including Kanispora, Khawjabagh, Singh Bagh, and Kantbagh, culminating at Gurdwara Chattipadshahi Baramulla.

The event saw a large turnout of devotees, with community members from different areas, including women and children, participating in the procession.

To facilitate the smooth conduct of the event, the Baramulla district administration announced the suspension of vehicular traffic from Kanispora to Azad Gunj Baramulla for two hours. An alternate route for traffic movement from Kanispora to Baramulla via Jahama was provided.

On this occasion, the devotees were offered juice and drinking water throughout the journey by Muslims who had set several installs reflecting the brotherhood and the harmony in the district.
