Nadeem to contest polls on PDP’s mandate

Poonch, Sep 02: Nadeem Rafiq Khan is now going to contest assembly elections on PDP mandate in Mendhar assembly constituency of Poonch district.

Earlier, PDP had announced name of Maroof Khan as it’s candidate from Mendhar.

Party insiders said that day after announcement of name of Maroof Khan as party candidate, party was facing some pressure over which a vital meeting was convened on Monday which was chaired by party’s vice president Hamid Chowdhary.

“ There was some issue over which we sat today and had talks with all our leaders. In this meeting, our candidate Maroof Khan sacrificed his mandate for the sake of party’s win,” Hamid said while addressing a press conference after this meeting.

He further said that after voluntary decision of Maroof Khan, the party candidate from this assembly constituency will be Nadeem Rafiq Khan.
