Nadda visits Nanaji Deshmukh library
Jammu, July 8: BJP National President and Union Minister of Health, J P Nadda, who was in Jammu for two days, visited Nanaji Deshmukh library, in the premises of BJP headquarter, Trikuta Nagar, Jammu.
Jammu and Kashmir BJP President, Ravinder Raina, Union MoS in PMO, D. Jitendra Singh, BJP National General Secretary and J&K Prabhari, Tarun Chugh, also accompanied Nadda during his visit to the library.
Prof (Dr) Kulbushan Mohtra, Incharge Library, welcomed Nadda and other leaders. He also presented books titled “Terrorism and Proxy War in Jammu Region” and “A Saga of Sacrifices : Praja Parishad”, to the party’s National President.
Prof (Dr) Mohtra, while briefing JNadda about the library said that it has been dedicated to Nanaji Deshmukh, a great ideologue, former National General Secretary. The library has a collection of over 3000 books on different subjects. He told that the library has a large number of books on Praja Parishad Agitation and many other historic events/moments in Jammu and Kashmir. He also shared that the library has documentation department, which has preserved many old documents digitally. The library’s team has worked to collect the old photographs of historical importance from the veterans in different parts of Jammu and Kashmir and the same has been installed in the library as well as other parts of the party headquarters.
"Ours is one of the best among BJP’s libraries in the country and besides the party leaders and workers, the scholars, students, educationalists, do come to library for study material of their choice and requirement," he said. He added that LED has also been fixed in the library, which runs videos on the life of party leaders, and the documentaries on supreme sacrifices of the patriotic citizens of Jammu and Kashmir who laid down their lives for the cause of the nation.
