The accused lured Sandeep to Reasi on the pretense of repaying ₹1,30,000, which he had taken from the victim and lost while gambling in the Aviator game. Tragically, on 27th September, Pardeep pushed Sandeep into the Chenab River at Talwara, Reasi, resulting in his death.
