Mysterious death of man sparks protest at Chingus

Rajouri, Mar 18: Police in Rajouri has started investigation into mysterious death of a man whose body was found lying in river at Chingus on Sunday evening.

As per officials of police, the locals from Chingus area of Rajouri found a body lying in river after which the informed police. A team of police from Chingus police post reached the spot following which body was shifted to GMC Associated Hospital Rajouri.

During investigation, officials said, deceased was identified as Mushtaq Ahmed Goursi son of Mian Goursi resident of Kurliyan area of Kalakote.

It has been learnt that man went missing two days ago and his missing report was also registered whereas his body was found lying near river. Police also said that investigation into the matter has been taken up where as inquest proceedings have been started.
