Muzaffar Baig to contest as independent candidate

Srinagar, Sep 05: Former deputy chief minister Muzaffar Hussain Baig has declared his decision to contest the upcoming elections as an independent candidate.

In his announcement, Baig highlighted the importance of aligning with a party that genuinely respects and prioritises the welfare of Kashmir, a local news gathering agency KNS reported.

He said that his decision to contest independently stems from his commitment to ensuring that the needs and concerns of the people of Kashmir are addressed effectively and with sincerity.

“Our role in informing the world about the people’s thoughts is crucial,” Baig said. “It is essential for making informed decisions that genuinely reflect the needs of our community.”
