Mundian health centre in Keran craves for upgradation
Kupwara, Oct 9: A health centre at Mundian area in Keran of Kupwara district craves for up-gradation.
The residents said that the first aid centre located at Mundian area was established in 1973 and after the passage of over 50 years the centre is yet to be upgraded thus putting the locals into a lot of inconvenience.
The residents said that this health centre caters a huge chunk of population so it's upgradation is the need of the hour.
They said that whenever any medical emergency arises, they have to carry patients either to NTPHC Keran or Sub District Hospital Kralpora and during heavy snowfall they are forced to shoulder their patients for treatment. "If our health centre is upgraded we would not face any difficulty with regard to proper treatment," a local told Greater Kashmir.
The residents said that at present first aid centre Mundian was lacking all the basic facilities thus giving a tough time to the residents. They demanded that atleast a doctor be posted at Mundian till their genuine demand is redressed.
Locals have sought immediate intervention of LG Manoj Sinha in this regard so that the hardships being faced by the people may end.
