Mughal Road: Vehicular movement remain suspended, bad weather conditions prevail
Rajouri, Apr 18: Amid bad weather conditions and fresh snowfall near Pir Ki Gali, the Mughal Road remained close for all kinds of vehicles on Thursday.
The road was earlier opened for moment of vehicles on Wednesday after a closure of three days but the administration issued a notice on Wednesday evening ordering closure of road in view of bad weather conditions.
"There are hazardous conditions on the road that includes slippery surface, shooting stones and landslides due to which movement of vehicles on the road is a slippery affair and for all this there will be no movement of vehicles on the road from Wednesday evening onwards." the administration had mention in the notice.
Deputy SP Traffic Rajouri Poonch range, Mohammad Nawaz informed that no movement of vehicles took place on road on Thursday.
"There was no movement of vehicles from any side of road on Thursday and it will remain close till further notice." he said.
Executive Engineer Mughal Road Projects, Shokat Ali said that we are witnessing tough conditions on road making it too difficult to allow movement of vehicles.
"The main problem is slippery surface as well as shooting stones." he said.
Executive Engineer informed that severe inclement weather conditions are prevailing in the area and we can take a call on restoration of road for traffic only when weather improves.
