Mughal Road reopens for traffic

Rajouri, Dec 10: The Mughal Road was opened for the movement of vehicles after it remained closed for two days due to snowfall and slippery conditions.

Officials said that the road was closed on Sunday after fresh snowfall while snow clearance work was completed on Monday but the road could not be restored due to slippery conditions.

Sub Divisional Magistrate Surankote, Farooq Khan told Greater Kashmir that the road was opened for traffic on Tuesday morning and smooth movement of vehicles continued till evening.

However, he appealed to people to refrain from travelling on the road in the evening hours as frost causes severe slippery conditions.
