Mughal Road reopens for traffic
Rajouri: Vehicular movement Monday was restored on Mughal Road, which remained closed for a few hours due to slippery conditions caused by fresh snowfall. The road connecting Poonch district with Shopian district was closed on Sunday evening and vehicular movement was suspended by traffic police keeping in view severe slippery conditions.
District Magistrate Poonch had also appealed to people on Sunday evening not to move towards Mughal road during night hours as the road was closed due to slippery conditions. Traffic Police officials said, “Snow accumulated, after fresh snowfall, on the road was cleared by the department and the road was restored for traffic on Monday morning.”
They said that smooth flow of traffic was witnessed on Monday as slippery conditions were reduced amid fair-weather.
