Mughal Road remains closed due to slippery conditions

Rajouri, Jan 11: Mughal Road continued to remain closed for the 15th consecutive day today due to the slippery conditions.

Yesterday, it was being expected that the road may be thrown open today. But severe slippery conditions forced authorities to keep the road shut and prioritise the safety of travelers.

Sub Divisional Magistrate Surankote Farooq Khan Nazki said that authorities decided not to restore the road for traffic due to slippery conditions despite there were expectations that road will get restored today.

He emphasised that necessary road inspections and snow clearance work are going out regularly but the road cannot be reopened due to severe slippery conditions and traffic will only be allowed when the conditions improve.
