MUGHAL ROAD | MED snow clearance machinery reaches Pir Ki Gali

Rajouri, Mar 28: The Jammu and Kashmir Mechanical Engineering Department's (MED) snow clearance machinery has touched the end point with Shopian district after it reached Pir Ki Gali on Thursday evening.

The snow clearance work on road was going on for last three weeks with the machinery of department's reached Pir Ki Gali touching boundary of Poonch district with Shopian district where machinery of department from Shopian side has already reached.

Assistant Engineer Mechanical Engineering Department, Tariq Ahmed said that around one kilometre stretch was remaining on Wednesday with manpower and machinery of department worked tirelessly on Thursday amid cloudy conditions.

" Our teams finally touched Pir Ki Gali on Thursday evening where machinery of department from Shopian side has already reached," Tariq said.

He added, " The road is now cleared for single lane traffic from all both Poonch and Shopian side."
