Mughal Road closed for vehicular movement

Rajouri, Dec 5: Mughal Road, connecting Poonch district with Shopian, was closed for movement of vehicles, following a snow-slide somewhere near Pir Ki Gali on Tuesday.

Official sources said, “The movement of vehicles was suspended on the road keeping in view the incident of slow slide that took place this afternoon.”

“Restrictions on movement of vehicles have been placed on both sides of the road. People have also been appealed to refrain from moving towards the road,” they said.

Official sources added that vehicles were not allowed to move further towards Mughal Road from Behram Gala check post.

“The decision for suspension of traffic has been taken by higher authorities after the incident of a snow slide near Pir ki Gali,” they said. However, there was no official statement from concerned officers regarding closure of Mughal Road.
