Mughal Road closed for a few hours

Rajouri, Nov 24: The authorities on Sunday afternoon kept Mughal Road shut for the movement of vehicles for a few hours as light snowfall caused slippery conditions for the movement of vehicles.

The road connecting the Poonch district with Shopian passes through the higher mountain range of Pir Ki Gali and this area received the season’s first snowfall last week which forced the closure of the road for a day.

On Sunday, light snowfall was witnessed in the area near Pir Ki Gali, causing slippery conditions.

Officials said that the restrictions on the movement of vehicles were enforced on Sunday after light snowfall and it remained in force till late afternoon hours but later normal movement of vehicles was allowed.
