Mughal Road closed briefly due to landslide

Rajouri, May 21: Mughal Road was closed briefly between Chata Pani and Pir Ki Gali stretch due to a landslide and falling of a tree.

Mughal Road connects Poonch district of Jammu with Shopian district of Kashmir.

DTI Poonch Ajaz Mirza said that movement of vehicles on road was smooth till Tuesday afternoon. But a landslide occurred and debris fell on road.

He said that landslide caused closure of road and a large number of vehicles got stranded on both sides of landslide site.

"Road restoration work was taken up and road was restored after two hours," he added.
