MP Mian Altaf visits fire affected families in Anantnag
Srinagar, Mar 23: Senior National Conference leader and Member of Parliament ( MP) Mian Altaf Ahmad Sunday visited Kadipora area of south Kashmir's Anantnag district where a devastating fire incident had gutted several residential houses few days back.
According to a press release, Mian Altaf Ahmad visited the Kadipora area of Anantnag and met the fire affected families. Mian Altaf demanded that the government should provide seven Marlas to the fire affected families. " This unfortunate incident has rendered many families homeless. I urge the administration to provide immediate relief and adequate compensation to these families so that they can rebuild their lives,” he added.
On March 20, a massive fire swept through the congested by-lanes of Gajinag- Kadipora, reducing over 20 houses to ashes and leaving more than 40 families without shelter.
