MP Mian Altaf raises issue of rising unemployment, inflation in J&K

Srinagar, July 1: National Conference Member of Parliament, Mian Altaf Ahmed on Monday raised the issue of rising Inflation, Employment in Jammu and Kashmir during the ongoing Parliament session.

Participating in debate on the Motion of Thanks on the President’s Address, Mian Altaf Ahmed who is the Member of Parliament from Anantnag-Rajouri parliamentary seat in Jammu and Kashmir said that the unemployment and inflation is on rise in J&K which has made the people to suffer and distress.  He said that that inflation and unemployment were rising in the country and same in Jammu and Kashmir as no proper roadmap is made to address the issue.

Mian Altaf said that the prices of cooking gas, petrol, sugar, vegetables and other essential commodities are beyond common man’s reach, adding that apart from this the GST has broken the back of people. He said inflation, unemployment are such issues which impact every section.

The NC MP urged the Parliamentarians particularly the leaders of INDIA alliance to raise the issues being faced by people in Jammu and Kashmir. Mian Altaf also said that thousands of causal labourers and daily wagers are demanding their rights including regularizations of their jobs.

Mian Altaf Ahmed sought the attention of the house towards the issue for the redressal.
