MP Mian Altaf grieved over death of ADDC Rajouri, others in Poonch, Rajouri cross border shelling

Srinagar, May 10: National Conference Member of Parliament Mian Altaf Ahmed Saturday expressed his grief over the loss of innocent lives in Poonch and Rajouri areas in the ongoing cross border shelling.

In a statement, Mian Altaf termed the death of senior JKAS officer and ADDC Rajouri Raj Kumar Thapa tragic and unfortunate, adding that several people have been injured in the ongoing cross border shelling since last few days as well.

He said that as per reports, at least five people including a senior officer and a minor have lost their lives since yesterday.

He also urged the administration to provide adequate medical facilities including ambulances to the people in the affected areas.

"More precious lives lost in Rajouri, Poonch areas including a dedicated officer ADDC Rajouri R K Thapa Sb, in the ongoing cross-border shelling. I offer my deepest condolences to the bereaved families. Urge Admin to ensure adequate medical facilities available in affected areas" Mian Altaf as per statement said.
