MP Mian Altaf anguished over blaze

Srinagar, July 2: National Conference (NC) leader and Member of Parliament Mian Altaf Ahmad Tuesday expressed anguish over the damage to property in a devastating fire incident in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district.

Several residential buildings and shops were gutted in a devastating fire that broke out at Mehman Mohalla in Anantnag on Monday night.

In a statement issued here, Altaf While expressing sympathies with the fire victims, urged the district administration to carry out relief and rehabilitation measures for the victims.

He also demanded adequate compensation for the fire victims.

“The administration should provide immediate assistance to the fire victims and ensure proper rehabilitation for the affected families,” Altaf said.
