MP Ladakh Haji Hanifa concludes Batalik tour
Kargil, Jul 15: Member of Parliament (MP) Ladakh Haji Hanifa concluded his three day Batalik tour and assured the people the development and drought relief.
According to a press release, he was accompanied by Executive Councillor Zakir Hussain, Councillor Silmo Feroz Ahmad Khan, Councillor Sodh Manzoor Hussain, and nominated Councillor Gurmeth Angchuk. The MP visited several villages in the Batalik region.
The team covered key locations including Batalik, Darchiks, Garkone, Gargardoo, Chulichan, Lalung, Silmo, Barchey, Apati, Yourbaltak, Tumail, and Chutumail. During the visit, Councillor Feroz Ahmad Khan highlighted the region’s major concerns, and residents submitted written memoranda outlining their demands and grievances.
Among the most pressing demands raised across the stretch from Garkone to Lalung were the promotion of border tourism, development of homestay facilities, sanctioning of essential road infrastructure, construction of a common indoor stadium, establishment of a hospital, and upgradation of the existing middle school.
