Moul Mouj Foundation, Help Foundation join hands to enhance healthcare of seniors
Srinagar, Oct 30: As part of their ongoing commitment to the legacy of late Muhammad Shafi Pandit, a dedicated advocate for elderly welfare, Moul Mouj Foundation (MMF) and Help Foundation (HF) today announced a collaborative initiative aimed at enhancing respiratory health support for seniors.
With the winter season rapidly approaching, the health risks for seniors with respiratory conditions are amplified, particularly as cold weather can exacerbate issues such as chronic respiratory ailments, heart disease and reduced mobility. This partnership provides crucial resources to ensure elderly community members receive the best care and support.
In response to these urgent needs, MMF and HF are supplying a wide array of critical medical equipment to senior citizens, offering vital respiratory support devices, mobility aids, and more to help seniors manage health conditions comfortably from home. This collaborative effort aims to ease the burden on both caregivers and the healthcare system by reducing unnecessary hospital visits.
The range of equipment includes Oxygen Concentrators which are vital for those with chronic respiratory issues or heart conditions, these devices deliver continuous oxygen, improving comfort and reducing breathlessness. Besides Oxygen Cylinders are essential during power outages, as these will provide a continuous oxygen supply to help seniors with respiratory and heart conditions breathe easier.
Moreover, the MMF and HF provide Bipap Machines which are assistive devices to help patients with sleep apnea or severe respiratory issues breathe easier at night, enhancing sleep quality and overall well-being. Nebulizers are essential for direct medication delivery to the lungs, nebulizers bring immediate relief from respiratory symptoms, ensuring fast-acting care for seniors.
MMF and HF also provides patient beds which are adjustable and designed for maximum comfort, these beds cater to seniors with limited mobility, chronic pain, or who require frequent position changes for health benefits.
Wheelchairs are also made available for facilitating safe mobility, wheelchairs are essential for mental and physical health, promoting independence, and reducing the risk of falls.
“Additionally, this initiative provides access to critical care ambulance staffed by a highly skilled team, including experienced paramedics, who will ensure safe interdistrict and interstate transfers for patients needing specialized medical attention in cities such as Delhi.
