Srinagar, Mar 22: As part of the Intergenerational Communication: Roots Revival Project, Moul Mouj Foundation (MMF) and GK Labs organised a post-Ramadhan health awareness session for Seniors at Kashmir Clinics Conference Hall at Karan Nagar.

The session aimed to address health concerns among seniors, particularly those marginalised, and reinforce their significance in society. Attended by senior citizens from diverse backgrounds, including retired officers and underprivileged elders, the event emphasised the need for continued care and respect for the elderly.

The session opened with Qari Aslam’s recitation of the Holy Quran and Hadith, highlighting the importance of parental care and the duty of society towards its elders. Dr. Zubair Saleem, Senior Geriatric Consultant, shared essential health guidelines for seniors post-Ramadhan, stressing the need for gradual dietary transitions, hydration, and maintaining physical activity to prevent health issues. Dr. Shakeel-ur-Rehman reinforced the core objective of the initiative, stating, “Our motive is to ensure that marginalized seniors feel acknowledged, valued, and equally important as privileged seniors in society.” He extended heartfelt gratitude to GK Labs, GK Communications, Help Foundation, and all supporting organizations for their continued efforts in MMF’s mission.
