Motorcyclist dies in road accident in srinagar

Srinagar, Nov 30: A 21-year-old youth lost his life after a collision between a motorcycle and a Tavera vehicle in the Shalteng area of Srinagar outskirts on Sunday morning.

The injured rider was identified as Faiq Muzaffar of Zainakote Umerabad. He sustained critical injuries in the accident and was immediately shifted to JVC Hospital Bemina for treatment.

Hospital authorities said the youth was declared dead shortly after arrival despite efforts by doctors to save his life.

Police said they have taken note of the incident and have initiated further investigation to ascertain the circumstances that led to the collision. [KNT]
