Mother-son duo killed after rolling stones hit motorcycle in J&K's Udhampur

Ramban, Feb 27: A mother and her son died on the spot after their motorcycle was hit by rolling stones on a link road in Mongri, Tehsil of Udhampur district, late Thursday evening.

According to police sources, the tragic incident occurred when a stone dislodged from a hill and struck their motorcycle, killing both riders instantly.

A police official said, "At around 8:45 PM on Thursday, we received information from locals that a stone had fallen from the hill, hitting a motorcycle carrying a mother and her son, resulting in their immediate death."

The deceased have been identified as Raghunath, son of Badru, and Shanu Devi, wife of Badru.

Their bodies have been shifted to the Primary Sub Centre (PSC) Mongri. Meanwhile, Udhampur police have registered a case and initiated further investigation.
