Mother, daughter die after wall collapses due to heavy rains in J-K's Rajouri

Rajouri, Sept 03: A woman and her daughter lost their lives after a wall of their house collapsed due to heavy rainfall in Tanda Kangri, Sunderbani Rajouri district, during the intermediate night of September 2 and 3,

An official said that Sita Devi, wife of Rattan Lal, and her daughter Sonia Rattan Lal were inside the house when the wall suddenly collapsed.

Police and a rescue team immediately rushed to the scene and recovered their bodies. The incident occurred due to the incessant rainfall in the area, official said.

Cognizance of the matter has been taken and further investigation initiated. (KNC)
