MoS Defence Sanjay Seth to lead Indian delegation to World Defence Show 2026 in Saudi Arabia
New Delhi, Feb 5: Minister of State for Defence Sanjay Seth will lead a high-level Indian delegation to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to participate in the third edition of the World Defence Show (WDS) 2026, scheduled to be held on February 8 and 9, 2026. The World Defence Show is expected to host more than 700 exhibitors and around 400 official delegations from across the globe.
The Indian delegation will include senior officials from the Department of Defence Production as well as officers from the Indian Armed Forces. As part of India’s participation, the Minister o State for defence will inaugurate India’s first-ever dedicated India Pavilion at the exhibition. Spread across 400 square metres, the pavilion will showcase the country’s expanding indigenous defence manufacturing and technological capabilities.
Major public sector defence enterprises participating in the pavilion include Armoured Vehicles Nigam Limited (AVNL), Advanced Weapons and Equipment India Limited (AWEIL), Munitions India Limited (MIL), Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL), India Optel Limited (IOL), Bharat Dynamics Limited (BDL) and Yantra India Limited (YIL). These companies will display a wide range of defence products, including tanks, artillery gun systems, missiles, ammunition and radar systems. On the sidelines of WDS 2026, a bilateral meeting between the minister and his Saudi Arabian counterpart is also planned.
Seth is expected to hold interactions with representatives of leading Saudi industry bodies to explore avenues for enhancing defence cooperation and industrial collaboration between the two countries. The World Defence Show is a biennial international defence exhibition hosted by Saudi Arabia.
