Mortar, shells seized in Surankote village

Poonch, Feb 2: Security forces on Friday recovered a 51 mm mortar, mortar shells, pistol and ammunition during a Cordon and Search Operation (CASO) atn Sangla village area of Surankote in Poonch district.

Officials said, the operation was launched jointly by Special Operation Group (SoG) and Armys' Rashtriya Rifles in Sangla Khoni Nallah area of Surankote.

During this operation a 51 mm mortar, three mortar shells, a pistol, and five bullets of pistol were recovered from a terrorist hideout. The arms and ammunition, officials added, has been seized.
