MLA Sopore visits low-lying Sher Colony area, interacts with locals
Sopore, Nov 2: Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) Irshad Rasool Kar on Sunday visited the low-lying Sher Colony area of Sopore to take stock of local issues and interact with the residents who have been facing multiple civic problems, particularly related to drainage and sanitation.
During his visit, MLA Kar held detailed discussions with the residents and listened to their grievances regarding frequent waterlogging, poor drainage system, damaged roads, and irregular garbage clearance. The locals apprised him that even a short spell of rain causes severe water accumulation in the locality, affecting daily life and creating health-related concerns.
MLA Irshad Rasool Kar, assured the residents that their issues will be taken up on priority. He directed the officers to prepare a comprehensive plan for drainage improvement and road upgradation in the area.
While interacting with the public, the MLA emphasised the government’s commitment to improving civic amenities and ensuring equitable development across all parts of Sopore.
