MLA Sajjad Shaheen inaugurates blood donation camp at SDH Banihal

Banihal, Sep 30: MLA Banihal Sajjad Shaheen, today inaugurated a blood donation camp at Sub-District Hospital (SDH) Banihal and also kickstarted the macadamisation work of Government Degree College (GDC) Banihal and Government Middle School (GMS) Bankoot. These initiatives mark important steps towards strengthening health and educational infrastructure in the constituency.

Speaking at SDH Banihal, Shaheen stated that the establishment of a blood storage facility at the hospital—recently sanctioned through his intervention—has fulfilled a long-pending demand of the people. He further announced that SDH Banihal will soon be equipped with Dialysis and CT Scan facilities, reiterating his commitment to ensuring that local patients are not compelled to travel long distances for specialized medical care.

Later, while launching the macadamisation work at GDC/GMS Bankoot, Shaheen underlined the significance of providing better infrastructure to students and the academic community. He assured that development of educational institutions remains a key priority and that further measures will be taken to strengthen facilities for youth and students of the area.

The MLA appreciated the contribution of doctors, paramedics, and volunteers in the blood donation camp and reaffirmed that upgradation of health and education sectors will remain his foremost priority, with sustained efforts to provide accessible, modern, and quality services within the Banihal–Gool constituency.
