This drive marks the beginning of his “Greater Gulmarg” initiative, a key part of his election manifesto aimed at enhancing the area’s environmental and tourism appeal. On this occasion, Shah personally joined the effort, taking a hands-on approach by cleaning the famous Gulmarg meadows and Gold Ground with a broom. His participation was aimed at inspiring local stakeholders to take responsibility for maintaining cleanliness in tourist areas, as well as villages and markets, for the health and hygiene of both residents and visitors.
