MLA Banihal holds review meeting on Ramadhan preparedness, post-snowfall situation

Srinagar, Feb 28: In view of the upcoming holy month of Ramadan and the recent heavy snowfall, MLA Banihal Sajjad Shaheen today convened a high-level review meeting with the Sub-Divisional level administration to assess the preparedness for Ramadan and the post-snowfall situation in the Banihal-Gool constituency.

During the meeting, MLA Banihal directed officials to expedite the restoration of essential utility services, including electricity, water supply, and road connectivity, which have been disrupted due to heavy snowfall. He stressed the importance of ensuring uninterrupted essential services such as ration supplies, healthcare, and transport facilities during Ramadan, a time of great spiritual significance for the people.

Emphasizing proactive measures, he instructed the administration to keep emergency response teams on standby, ensure adequate stock of essential commodities, and deploy additional manpower where required. Special focus was laid on maintaining unhindered power supply during Sehri and Iftar hours and ensuring timely snow clearance in affected areas.

MLA Banihal reiterated his commitment to the welfare of the people and assured that he would personally monitor the situation to ensure all necessary arrangements are in place.

He urged the public to report any grievances regarding essential services so that immediate action can be taken.
