Rajouri, May 12: A massive protest demonstration rocked Lah village of Thanamandi in Rajouri after locals blocked the Rajouri-Thanamandi road over the mysterious death of a local man in Jammu who was missing a few days ago.
The deceased was identified as Muhammad Kabir, son of Salam Din of Lah, Thanamandi, whose body was recovered in mysterious conditions after he remained missing for two days.
The family members, relatives, and other people of the area while accusing a murder conspiracy behind the incident called for justice through a fair investigation to establish all the hidden facts of the case.
They said that the deceased was from a poor family background and was the lone bread earner and his death would leave a never-repairable blow to the family.
Headed by former legislator Qamar Hussain and District Development Council (DDC) member Thanamandi, Abdul Quyoom Mir, locals assembled on the busy Rajouri-Thanamandi road and blocked it for traffic besides raising the demand for justice as well as ex gratia for the poor family.
