The family members, relatives, and other people of the area while accusing a murder conspiracy behind the incident called for justice through a fair investigation to establish all the hidden facts of the case.

They said that the deceased was from a poor family background and was the lone bread earner and his death would leave a never-repairable blow to the family.

Headed by former legislator Qamar Hussain and District Development Council (DDC) member Thanamandi, Abdul Quyoom Mir, locals assembled on the busy Rajouri-Thanamandi road and blocked it for traffic besides raising the demand for justice as well as ex gratia for the poor family.

Later, officials of civil and Police administration reached the spot and met with the protesting people, assuring that a fair investigation into the matter was going on and truth would be before everyone.

The civil administration assured that necessary financial aid for the poor family would be provided by the administration as per the law.

On the assurance of the officers, the protest was called off after 3 hours and the road was restored for traffic.

On Sunday, his family members blocked the main road at Lah on the Rajouri-Thanamandi road.

They kept the body of the deceased on the road and alleged that he died due to a murder conspiracy and that the Police should unearth it and those involved in this criminal act should be taken to task.

The protesters also demanded ex-gratia and compensation for victim families.
