Miscreants trying to create sectarian divide will be dealt Strictly: Budgam Police

Budgam, Aug 13: Budgam Police have registered an FIR after miscreants were involved in an incident of mischief in Ichgam, with efforts underway to identify those responsible, a police spokesperson said on Wednesday.

Police spokesperson, in a statement, said that Budgam Police has taken cognisance in the incident of mischief done by some miscreants in Ichgam and FIR has been registered under relevant sections of law.

Those who were involved in the incident are being identified and legal action is being taken against them, it reads.

Police team was present on spot and all the evidences are being analysed. Evidences will be incorporated as part of investigation for fair and impartial investigation, the statement reads.

Some elements are trying to create sectarian divide and trying to spread misinformation and fake news on social media, they will be strictly dealt under law, it reads.

Budgam Police urges people to remain calm and co-operate in maintaining peace and order in the area, reads the statement. (KNC)
