Mirwaiz hopes enquiry will lead to justice

Srinagar, Nov 22: Mirwaiz Umar Farooq has hoped that the enquiry into the Kishtwar incident will lead to justice.

According to a press release, he was speaking at the Friday congregation at Jamia Masjid Srinagar and condemned the incident.

“Mirwaiz expressed deep sorrow over the incident, highlighting the ongoing issue of impunity and abuse of authority that has plagued the Kashmir conflict for decades.

He emphasized that perpetrators of such acts are rarely held accountable, and he hopes that the inquiry ordered by the authorities will lead to justice for the victims,” the press release
