Mirwaiz concerned over proposed amendments

Srinagar, Aug 09: Mirwaiz Umar Farooq has expressed concerns over the proposed amendments to Waqf Act

According to a press release, he was addressing a Friday congregation at Jamia Masjid here. He described the amendments as interference into religious matters.

He stated that the matter related to changes to the Muslim Wakf board law by government of India has been in the news for last few days .
