Mirwaiz bereaved as family patriarch passes away in Pakistan

Srinagar, Nov 03: The patriarch of the Mirwaiz family and an imminent scholar Mirwaiz Mohammad Ahmad, son of Mirwaiz Yousuf Shah has died after a brief illness in Pakistan.

Taking to X, Kashmir's top religious cleric and Hurriyat (M) chief Mirwaiz Umar Farooq wrote about the event even as he said that on Monday there will be absentia funeral prayers at 1 pm at Jamia Masjid Srinagar.

Those wanting to condole the demise shall be received at Mirwaiz Manzil, Nigeen, he wrote.
