Minor killed in leopard attack in Kupwara
Kupwara, Dec 6: A pall of gloom descended on Shirhama village of Mawer area in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district after a four year old boy succumbed after being seriously injured in a leopard attack.
According to locals, the minor was playing outside his house, when a leopard appeared there and attacked the minor leaving him fatally injured. “Neighbours and family members swiftly swung into action after hearing the screams of the minor. He was immediately shifted to New Type Primary Health Centre (NTPHC) Qalamabad where after initial treatment doctors referred him to Government Medical College (GMC) Handwara where doctors declared him dead on arrival,” a local told Greater Kashmir.
The minor has been identified as Mohammed Hasnain Teli, son of Nisar Ahmad Teli, resident of Shirhama Mawer.
Meanwhile, Station House Officer (SHO) Qalamabad Majid Khan confirmed to Greater Kashmir about the death of a minor in a leopard attack.
