Minor dies, woman injured in Sopore blaze

Sopore, Apr 21: A minor girl died and a woman was injured after a residential house caught fire in Tarzoo area of Sopore on Sunday.

An official said that the fire engulfed a residential house in Trazoo Sopore, and a two-year-old girl Riddah Tanveer, daughter of Tanveer Ahmad Lone of Wanigam, Pattan, and another woman Rafeeqa Begum suffered critical burn injuries.

He said that soon after the incident both the injured were rushed to Sub District Hospital, Sopore, for immediate treatment, but the doctors declared the minor dead on arrival, however, Rafeeqa is under medication at the hospital.

The official said that a preliminary investigation suggested that the fire was caused due to leakage of LPG.
