Minor boy killed in Doda accident

Ramban, Mar 23: A four year-old boy was killed in a road accident at Baggar area of Assar sub-division of Doda on Batote-Doda-Kishtwar National Highway on Saturday.

Police sources said that the boy was hit by a Taxi bearing registration number JK17-0480. He was immediately taken to Community Health Centre Batote. However, the boy succumbed to his injuries on the way to the hospital.

Police identified the deceased minor as Bhanu Pratap son of Bachan Singh of Ganota area of Assar.

SHO Police Station Assar, Giri confirmed the incident and said Police have taken the cognizance of the matter and registered a case in this regard at PS Assar of Doda.

He further said after completing legal formalities the body of the deceased boy was handed over to family and last rites of the deceased boy were performed in his native village.
