Militants escape after exchange of fire at Bemina

Srinagar, Nov 5: Militants whose actual number was not known fled after exchange of fire with security forces in Bemina here, police said.

The incident took place outside SKIMS hospital located at Bemina.”There was a brief firefight between terrorists and security forces at SKIMS Hospital, Bemina. Terrorists managed to escape taking advantage of civilian presence,” police said in a Tweet.

Soon after the incident, additional police, paramilitary and Rashtriya Rifles parties reached the spot. “The area has been cordoned off and an operation has been started to nab the fleeing terrorists,” police said.
