Militant killed, JCO among three soldiers injured in ongoing Kulgam gunfight

Srinagar, Sept 08: An unidentified terrorist was killed and three soldiers including a Junior Commissioned Officer (JCO) of the army injured in an ongoing encounter between security forces and terrorists in the Gudder forest area of South Kashmir's Kulgam district on Monday.

A top police officer said that one terrorist has been killed by security forces in Gudder forest area, whose identity is yet to be ascertained. He said a JCO and three soldiers sustained injuries in the firefight following which they were moved to a hospital for treatment.

As the joint team of forces intensified searches towards the suspected spot, the hiding terrorists fired upon the forces triggering off a gunfight.

Top police officer has confirmed to (KNC) about the killing of a one terrorist in the ongoing encounter while operation is on in the area the officer said.—(KNC)
