“India’s premium SUV customer is evolving rapidly, looking not just for space, but for a vehicle that projects stature, inspires confidence and integrates seamlessly into a more ambitious lifestyle. With MG Majestor, we have created an SUV that is rugged in its capability, refined in its comfort and dependable in its engineering,” he said.
He added that the Majestor represents the company’s vision of a full-size SUV defined by commanding presence, premium craftsmanship, intelligent technology and uncompromising performance.
Built on a 2,950 mm wheelbase, the Majestor measures 5,046 mm in length, 2,016 mm in width and 1,870 mm in height, making it among the largest vehicles in its segment. Its design features include a Mosaic Matrix Combination Grille, “Dragon Eyes” daytime running lamps, split headlamps, connected LED tail lamps with sequential turn signals, a raised hood line and 19-inch alloy wheels.
The SUV is powered by a 2.0-litre twin-turbo diesel engine producing 215.5 PS of power and 478.5 Nm of torque, paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission. It will be available in both two-wheel-drive and four-wheel-drive configurations.
The Majestor also introduces several segment-first features, including triple differential locks (front, rear and centre), an advanced four-wheel-drive system with 10 off-road modes, crawl control mode, 219 mm ground clearance and 810 mm water-wading capability. An intelligent Auto Mode allows the vehicle to operate in 2WD during regular driving and automatically shift to 4WD when traction loss is detected.
