MeT predicts rains from Monday in Kashmir
Srinagar, March 08: The Meteorological Centre Srinagar has predicted intermittent spells of light to moderate rain and snow at many places from March 10-16.
The MeT said that the weather is expected to remain dry in the next 24 hours. In its advisory it also said that landslides, mudslides and shooting stones could occur in vulnerable spots and urged people to “avoid avalanche prone areas.”
Meanwhile, the minimum night temperature in Kashmir was 1-2 c below normal. The tourist resort of Pahalgam in south Kashmir’s Anantnag registered a minimum temperature of -2.6 C, while Gulmarg saw -4.5 C and Srinagar recorded a low of 1.6 C.
The maximum day temperature was 1-2 C above normal in many parts of Kashmir and in Srinagar the maximum temperature was registered at 16.4.
