MeT predicts intense showers, gusty winds in next 6-8 hours in J&K

Srinagar, Apr 18: The Meteorological department has predicted moderate to intense showers of rain accompanied with moderate to severe thunderstorm during next 6-8 hours at many places in Jammu and Kashmir.

Given harsh weather conditions, the MeT official advised general public to stay inside till the period is over.

“Moderate to intense showers of rain accompanied with moderate to severe thunderstorm/lightning/gusty winds at many places of J&K during next 6-8hours,” an official said and advised general public to “stay inside and stay safe”.

The official continued that high intensity rain at few places may generate localized flash floods.
