Mela Kheerbhawani | DIG reviews security arrangements

Ganderbal, June 8:  To ensure smooth and peaceful annual Mela Kheerbawani, one of the most important festival of Pandit community, the Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) Central Kashmir Range (CKR) Rajiv Omprakash Pandey on Saturday visited Kheerbawani Temple in Ganderbal to review security arrangements made for upcoming mela Kheerbawani.

DIG CKR was accompanied by SSP Ganderbal Sandeep Gupta visited Kheerbawani Temple and stock of security measures to be put in place for forthcoming Mela Kheerbawani.

During the visit, DIG CKR took detailed review of security arrangements for inside and outside the premises of the Temple. He also reviewed traffic management for smooth passage of the Devotees coming for the Puja and availablity of parking places for the vehicles, an official said.
