Mela Kheer Bhawani, Eid-ul-Adha celebrations | Commissioner SMC reviews preparations

Srinagar, June 10: Commissioner SMC, Dr Owais Ahmed today chaired a comprehensive review meeting at the SMC Headquarters, Karan Nagar to assess the arrangements for the upcoming Mela Kheer Bhawani and Eid-ul-Adha celebrations.

The primary focus of the meeting was to ensure the implementation of sanitation and cleanliness for upcoming religious celebrations. The Commissioner SMC issued directives to emphasise the paramount importance of maintaining cleanliness in and around the Kheer Bhawani.

Special attention was given to the proper disposal of animal skins and hides following Eid-ul-Adha festivities. Furthermore, the meeting underscored the necessity to ensure adequate sanitation measures in and around mosques and other religious places across Srinagar city.
