Mehbooba Mufti pays tributes to Aga Syed Mehdi on his death anniversary

Srinagar , Nov 3: Former Chief Minister and President Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Democratic Party (JKPDP), Mehbooba Mufti, paid heartfelt tributes to Aga Syed Mehdi on his 25th martyrdom anniversary, describing him as a guiding light of faith, courage, and compassion whose life continues to inspire generations across Kashmir.

In a statement issued, as per KNS, Mehbooba Mufti said that Aga Syed Mehdi lived and died for the people, dedicating his life to the service of humanity and the pursuit of justice. “His unwavering faith and immense courage in the face of adversity defined his character and his leadership. He embodied the spirit of sacrifice and the power of compassion, reminding us that true leadership lies not in holding power but in serving people selflessly,” she said.

Recalling his deep connection with the people, Mufti said that Aga Syed Mehdi ’s legacy is one of unity, dignity, and resilience. “He reached out to every section of society with kindness and sincerity, leaving behind a legacy built on trust and moral strength. His martyrdom is not just a moment of remembrance, but a call to continue his mission of standing firm for truth and justice,” she added.

Mehbooba Mufti further said that the ideals Aga Syed Mehdi stood for remain as relevant today as they were during his lifetime.
